Hearts, Hibs and Edinburgh City learn Betfred Cup opponents

Hearts, Hibs and Edinburgh City today learned their Betfred Cup group opponents as the draw took place for the 2020/21 tournament.

In the north section, Hearts were drawn in Group A alongside Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Cowdenbeath, Raith Rovers and East Fife.

Hibs enter Group B with Dundee, Forfar Athletic, Brora Rangers and Cove Rangers.

In the south section, Edinburgh City were placed in Group H, accompanied by Livingston, Alloa, Stenhousemuir and Airdrie.

Full fixtures will be announced in due course alongside any matches which are to be broadcast live.

Group matches are due to take place on October 6, 10 and 13, plus November 10 and 14. Round two is scheduled for November 28 and 29.

The quarter-finals are planned for December 15, 16 and 17, with the semi-finals down for January 23 and 24, 2021.

The final is due on Sunday, February 28, 2021.
