Hearts make pointed Alloa tweet much to the delight of fans

Robbie Neilson’s men defeated the Wasps 3-1 at the Indodrill Stadium to extend their lead at the top of the Championship to seven points, while Alloa remain second bottom, thanks to goals from Andy Irving, Elliott Frear and Josh Ginnelly.

Ahead of the game, the home side tweeted that “we've got a league to win...” while also taking note of a comment from HeartsTV commentator Laurie Dunsire.

It is not the first time the Wasps have caught the attention of Hearts supporters having sent a terse response to the club on social media regarding streaming of the Betfred Cup game earlier in the campaign.

Hearts, as they did with Dundee at the start of the campaign, waited for the right time to have their say on Twitter.

They replied to the tweet regarding the league win after the victory by replying: “Yes. Yes we do.”
