Hearts' SPFL Reserve League clash with Hamilton was abandoned after 60 minutes on Monday with snow obscuring the lines at the Oriam.

Play had begun on the outdoor pitch in Riccarton, with Accies taking an early lead after ten minutes courtesy of Niyah Joseph's chipped effort from the edge of the area.

Callumn Morrison levelled matters on 26 minutes with a low drive from the edge of the box after Cammy Logan's pass, and Aidan Denholm put the home side in front two minutes later following good work by Connor Smith as the falling snow began to lie.

Colin Doyle had to be alert to deny Joseph a second and Scott McGill slammed an effort into the side netting as the encounter continued.

Leeroy Makovora did extend Hearts' lead five minutes before the break, getting on the end of Morrison's centre to finish beyond Ryan Fulton in the Accies goal.

The teams came back out for the second period, but 15 minutes into the second half, referee Jordan Curran called a halt to proceedings with the weather worsening and snow lying on the pitch.

The match will be replayed at a later date.

Hearts: Doyle; Logan, Baur, Hamilton, Darge, Cochrane, Morrison, McGill, Makovora, C Smith, Denholm. Subs: Mason, Ritchie, Strang, Schiavone, Lawler, Kavanagh.
