Hearts will again wear Tiny Changes shirts at the Scottish Cup final.

The Edinburgh side will don the shirts – made by Bands FC – during the warm-up against Celtic at Hampden Park on Sunday to publicise the mental health charity.

Tiny Changes was founded in 2019 in memory of Frightened Rabbit frontman Scott Hutchison, a lifelong Hearts supporter. He performed ‘The Hearts Song’ at the opening of Tynecastle Park’s new main stand in 2017.

Manager Robbie Neilson petitioned the Scottish Football Association for permission for his players to wear the shirts before their semi-final win against Hibs in October.

Three of those jerseys have been signed – one by match-winner Liam Boyce, one by goalscorer Craig Wighton and one by goalkeeper Craig Gordon – and are now available via an online raffle until Wednesday.

The same will happen after the final in an effort to raise as much money as possible for the charity.

“We wore those shirts in the semi-final and that turned out to be a good day, so hopefully wearing them again in the final will be a good omen for us,” said Neilson.

“The three strips from the semi-final are on auction so we’re hoping to raise as much money as we can for the Tiny Changes charity.

“We have a new batch which the boys will wear in the final and then they will all get signed and auctioned as well.

“I think it’s really important, especially at this time of year, that we look after people’s mental health and Tiny Changes are doing just that. It's a really big issue.”

Tickets for the raffle are available until 12pm this Wednesday, December 16, and three winners will then be drawn. Each one will receive one signed shirt, which is to be dispatched the following day and should be received in time for Sunday’s final.

The Hearts shirts had been released by Bands FC and Tiny Changes in July 2020 as a fundraiser. They raised more than £35,000 at the time and then made an appearance in the cup semi-final.
