The Jam Tarts progressed to the 2020 Scottish Cup final last weekend as they defeated rivals Hibs at Hampden Park.

Focus switches back to the Championship with the visit of the Highlanders.

John Robertson’s men have already been dispatched in Gorgie this campaign, 1-0 in the Betfred Cup.

Hearts team news: Wingers Josh Ginnelly (thigh) and Elliot Frear (hamstring) will be assessed ahead of the clash as to whether they are fit enough to take part having missed the semi-final win. Andy Irving is in consideration after coming off the bench against Hibs. The midfielder has recently had trouble with his thigh. Jamie Walker and Andy Halliday are expected to be fine after being substituted on Saturday after picking up knocks.

Predicted XI: Gordon; Smith, Halkett, Popescu, Kingsley; Haring, Lee, Halliday, Naismith; Boyce, Wighton.

Inverness CT team news: Robertson could be without former Hearts full-back Kevin McHattie, Miles Storey, Lewis Toshney. James Vincent and Shane Sutherland.

How to watch: This is only the second Hearts fixture not to be broadcast on television this season. The game is available on PPV and will be the club';s first offering of such a service to fans. Hearts season ticket holders who have not opted out of taking the games as part of the club’s alternative value season ticket package, will have access to the game via heartsfcpass.com. Last meeting: Jamie Walker’s penalty was the difference as Hearts defeated their counterparts in the Betfred Cup group stage opener, the clubs’ first competitive game since March.

Key stat: The Highlander’s last win at Tynecastle came nearly seven years ago. A Billy Mckay double gave John Hughes' side a 2-0 win in Gorgie during the 2013/14 season.

Referee: Bobby Madden – Fresh after assisting the semi-final win over Hibs at Hampden Park, Madden oversees his first Hearts match of the campaign.
