The Tynecastle side will carry the logo on the front of their strips for the 2021/22 season and a portion of profits from each shirt sold will be donated to the organisation.

Hearts agreed to the partnership after their six-year deal with Save The Children came to an end. The club have endured tragic loss relating to MND twice in the space of the last five years. Scottish Cup-winning captain Marius Zaliukas passed away last October, while former director Robert Wilson died in 2016.

After Hearts tweeted the announcement, MND responded with words of thanks.

They wrote: “Thank you so much for this fantastic opportunity, which will honour the memory of Marius Žaliūkas. We're building a movement to fight back against motor neurone disease - thank you for helping us speak to more people about our fight. #MND”
