Daniel Stendel’s squad met at Riccarton following a weekend of inaction after the SFA and SPFL’s joint response group postponed all football indefinitely.

The players were given the option to train but as of Tuesday there would only be individual fitness which can be done away from the training ground, plus two gym sessions per week.

The club will not be guided by the situation as to when the players regain full training.

“We just wanted to talk to them,” Budge told Sky Sports. “We effectively said: ‘No training until further notice’. The key thing is what do they have to do in order to stay fit… I think we all know it is going to be some time (before playing again).

“I’ve been talking to the performance team to say ‘what’s do they have to do? What’s the minimum they have to do to keep fit?’ So that when we get the green light that games are going to be played they can be up and running very quickly in terms of fitness.

“The players will essentially be training three sessions of running and general fitness which they can do anywhere and they will have their GPS bands on so we can continue to monitor data. Twice a week they will come into the gym for gym work in small groups. Keep in touch with everyone but not in full physical training.”
