Players sometimes stand with arms crossed in front or behind in a regimented line, or with a hand on their team-mates shoulders. There are sometimes replica kits involved, even the full-kit, other times it is more casual and with a scarf.
No matter what is involved it is always great for nostalgia purposes because down the years, when it comes to a raft of signings at Scottish clubs the success rate is never that high. Which in turn means some players are completely forgotten by fans. Such a high turnover of players will always bring about successes and failures. There are so many reasons why it didn’t work out or why it did.
Often it is part of a summer rebuild or a new manager wanting to put their stamp on the team in the January transfer window.
With that in mind and the January transfer window having just shut in Scotland we decided to look back through the archives for the best, most amusing or most memorable multiple transfer unveilings. The only criteria we set was it had to involve three or more players.
Unfortunately there hasn’t been a notable one in recent seasons, but be sure to get in touch if there are any obvious ones missing, such as the 2005 Hearts unveiling of Rudi Skacel, Roman Bednar, Edgargas Jankauskas et al alongside Geroge Burley.
