Toby Sibbick linked with Hearts switch as Daniel Stendel eyes reunion with defender
Hearts are closing in on a loan deal for Barnsley defender Toby Sibbick, according to reports.
The 20-year-old centre-back was signed by Tynecastle boss Daniel Stendel during his stint as Tykes boss and is keen on a reunion with the former AFC Wimbledon stopper.

Hide AdThe Daily Record reports that a loan deal until the end of the season has been agreed after Sibbick found himself pushed down the pecking order under Stendel's successor Gerhard Struber.

Able to play in defence or as a holding midfielder, Sibbick's most recent appearance for the Oakwell side came as a sub in a 1-1 draw with Reading on December 11. His last start was in late November in a 3-2 defeat to Blackburn Rovers and he has made 18 appearances in all competitions this season.
Sibbick was a regular under Stendel and could be reunited with the German coach this week if the move goes through.
Meanwhile, winger Jake Mulraney has completed a six-figure move to MLS side Atlanta United as the clear-out at the Capital club continues.
