'Beating Queen of the South ain't for everyone' - Fans react as Hibs progress in Scottish Cup

Hibs fans – and even the odd Hearts supporter – had plenty to say after the Easter Road side eased through to the fourth round of the Scottish Cup last night.

Kerry Thomson wrote: “Such a decent game from Hibs tonight, roll on the next round.”

Peter MacMahon dared to dream: “Very good by the Hibernians, particularly at the end of the first half and most of the second. Anyone for third place and cup run?”

James Kinniburgh had praise for Doidge: “Great to see him getting into goalscoring form at this crucial stage of the season.”

Hibs fan Lee wrote: “Second half is the best attacking performance I have seen from Hibs in a very long time. Was a great watch and entertaining. Hopefully much more like it to come.”

One Hearts fan had this to say about Stephen Dobbie’s penalty claim: “Even I though it was poetic justice that Hibs scored with the breakaway.”

Louis1875zz added: “Newell, Irvine and Gogic has to be the coolest midfield ever. Not a nerve in sight as we go on to lift the cup.”

Stephen Sibbald had praise for Doidge and Gogic: “Excellent stuff tonight. Glad to see Doidge get some more goals after his poor run recently. I thought Gogic was great in the middle of the park too.”
