Ex-Hibs ace Jason Cummings jokingly blasts Downing Street namesake Dominic for 'tarnishing' name
Former Hibs striker Jason Cummings has poked fun at his Downing Street namesake Dominic over accusations that the Prime Minister’s most senior advisor broke lockdown rules.
The Shrewsbury Town front man, who scored a famous double to earn the League One club an FA Cup replay at Liverpool in January, jokingly hit out at Boris Johnson’s under-fire sidekick, who drove 260 miles to his parents’ home in Durham while the country was in lockdown.

The footballer who shares his surname gave a different opinion, however, as he hit out in a side-splitting post on Instagram.
Posting an image of himself from his viral Easter Road wrestling video, where he adopted the alter-ego Cumdog, alongside a picture of Dominic Cummings, he stated, “Sick of this man tarnishing my name. It’s time he steps down and the real Cumdog takes over”, followed by a laughing face emoji.
Jason Cummings has regularly been at the centre of jokes during his career, most recently leaving Sky Sports viewers in stitches after appearing in his underpants during a live interview broadcast with Shrewsbury team-mate David Edwards.
