Hibs 1-0 Dundee recap: Murphy goal the difference as hosts win scrappy encounter
There was no repeat of the five goals scored the last time the sides met in the competition – all of two weeks ago – but Murphy made it two goals and two assists in four matches just before half-time when he latched onto Kevin Nisbet’s through-ball.
The winger still had plenty left to do as he held off a defensive challenge before firing acorss Jack Hamilton and into the far corner.

Hide AdIt was to be the only goal of the game – Jonathan Afolabi had the ball in the net early in the second period but saw it ruled out for offside.
Hibs continued to seek a second to make the game more comfortable and although they had their half-chances, Drey Wright came closest with a late shot that Hamilton blocked well.
The Easter Road side advances to the next round but with a less than convincing performance.
