The match will now be played on Monday April 5 with a 7.35pm kick-off at Palmerston Park after BBC Scotland selected the encounter for live coverage along with Ross County’s home tie against Inverness Caledonian Thistle (Friday April 2 at 7.30pm, BBC One Scotland) and Dumbarton v Aberdeen (Saturday April 3 at 12.15pm, BBC One Scotland).

The two teams met at the quarter-final stage of the competition in February 2007 with Thomas Sowunmi bagging the winner after John O’Neill had cancelled out David Murphy’s opener.

More recently the teams met in the Scottish Championship while the Doonhamers knocked Hibs out of the League Cup in August 2012.

As confirmed earlier this year, Premier Sports will show Celtic’s home tie against Falkirk on Saturday April 3 at 7.30pm and Cove Rangers’ trip to face Rangers at Ibrox at 6.30pm on Sunday April 4.
