Hibs and St Mirren drew 1-1 in a closed-doors bounce game at East Mains today as the two teams got their first taste of pre-season friendly action.

The Buddies took the lead in the first half through Jay Henderson, with Jamie Gullan levelling in the second half after good work on the right from new signing Drey Wright.

Hibs played two different teams for each half, with Ben Stirling putting in a good performance in central defence in the opening period.

Centre-back Ryan Porteous, who has been sidelined since January through injury, completed the second 45 minutes along with winger Wright.

Alex Gogic and Kevin Nisbet, who both agreed deals to join the Easter Road side on Friday, played no part in the game but are understood to have done some fitness work at the training centre beforehand.
