Michael Weir: Where are the leaders in this Hibs team?

I would like to see more leaders on the pitch in this Hibs team.

I don’t see players getting angry with each other. I look at this team and what I see is players who don't get annoyed at each other when things go wrong.

When St Johnstone scored the second goal at Hampden, as well as the shape and discipline going, there was no shouting or anger.

During my career, if ever we found ourselves in that sort of situation, someone would grasp the game by the scruff of the neck and we would fight our way back in to it.

Hibs don't have anyone like that at the moment. The players don't seem to be demanding better from each other. I don't see anybody having a go at each other or getting angry when they concede a goal; they just seem to accept it.

I can assure you: if a team wants to win trophies, then it needs players who are capable of getting angry and hauling the team back into things and making sure their team-mates are doing the same.

I don't see any of that in the current team. I see a team happy to be in each other's company.

It’s not the case that you need to like all your team-mates in order to win things. So long as there’s respect, that’s enough. You don't always need to be nice to each other.

Being nice to each other on the pitch isn’t going to win you football games. I don't see anybody getting angry with anyone else, or making sure they're up for the fight.

On Saturday, the Hibs players looked like they had accepted defeat after the second goal went in. There was nobody looking to grab hold of the game and push

When you do have that in your changing room, it can do so much for you and getting angry with each other and pushing each other to be better can make a huge difference but I didn't see any of that on Saturday.

I actually think watching it on the TV in the house, I was angrier than any of the players on the pitch at Hampden, and that’s not right at all.
