Home specialists Livingston bid to climb into top half

CAPTAIN Liam Fox is hoping Livingston can jump into the top half of the First Division tomorrow when they welcome Raith Rovers to West Lothian for the first time this season.

The sixth-place Lions produced an excellent display in their 2-2 draw at home to Partick Thistle last weekend, and Gareth Evans’ side will be hoping to extend a six-game unbeaten run at home in the league which stretches back to early September.

Fox knows Livi need to maintain the momentum generated by moments like last weekend’s last-gasp leveller to climb the table. He said: “We know how difficult Raith can be to play against so we have to make sure we keep the level of performance where it was last week.

“They have good players who can cause you problems – and they very nearly got a result against Partick at Firhill just before Christmas. We’ve got a few games in hand on the teams around us, but we need to just keep focus ing on the next match, starting with tomorrow.”

Raith are up to fourth – albeit just a point ahead of Livingston – after ending a six-game run without a win when they beat Airdrie last weekend. The only meeting between the sides so far this season was a 0-0 draw in Kirkcaldy in August.
