Easthouses FC has received £1000 from the company’s building communities fund which helps good causes and initiatives close to their developments.

The money will help sustain the club which has been a place for young people to get involved in football since 1948.

The club has more than 60 boys and girls from five to 12-years-old who have missed being able to join their team-mates on the football pitch.

The 15 volunteers who help run Easthouses FC and their two adult teams have also been kicking their heels in frustration due to lockdown restrictions.

Club chairman Stuart MacLean welcomed the donation, saying: “We’re very grateful for Mactaggart & Mickel’s support which will help the club finds its way through these difficult times.

“Our football club has an important role to play in the heart of our community and

we’re grateful for this support from Mactaggart & Mickel could not be better timed.

“Like most grassroots club, the Covid-19 pandemic has presented us with

unprecedented challenges and this donation will help us get through these difficult

times.

“We’ve got dozens of children and two adult teams who are desperate to get playing

again and this money will help the club buy kit and equipment for the teams so they can hit the ground running.” For more information on the fund , visit www.macmic.co.uk/bcf.
