A lively match saw a string of bookings the first of which saw verbal dissent earn Lea’s Ryan Taylor a yellow card.
Despite end to end action the match lacked a goal though Montrose looked the more likely to score when in 32 minutes Calum Watson crashed a shot against the Arniston crossbar.
