HIBERNIAN under-15 striker Lauren Watters has the potential to become a star on the field – but it’s the off-field recognition of late that has got her head in a spin.
The Lasswade High School pupil has become the billboard star of the Bank of Scotland Midnight League – a scheme in which she has been taking part for two years.
The Midnight League, which has been running since 2003, is a national network of five-a-side football run at local sports centres on Friday and Saturday evenings – with teams competing in weekly leagues.Bank of Scotland Midnight League is a free community football programme delivered across all 32 local authorities in Scotland, aimed at boys and girls aged 12 – 16.
