After coming back from a knee injury Bonnyrigg footballer Lauren Watters cannot wait to leave her mark after being called up for Scotland.

Lauren battled through the selection process with injuries to both her knees to become part of the TSB Scotland Under-15s schoolgirls squad, taking part in the Bob Docherty Cup in April.

It takes place at Repton School in Derbyshire with England, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and Slovakia taking part.

The Hibs striker wants to continue finding the back of the net after battling through the pain for the East regional team in the selection process.

She said: “I was quite shocked actually when I found out I was in the squad. I’ve been suffering with an injury to my knees this season called Schlatter Disease so I only managed to play the first half of the two regional games.”
