Lily triumph over 10-man Hawick RA

The Lily visited Albert Park in Hawick for this 1st division league game.

Hawick won the toss and elected to kick this league game off and quickly created two good goal scoring chances with one of them hitting goalkeeper Falconer’s cross bar and sailing over in the first 10 minutes.

This awakened the Lily players into action and they took the lead in the 12th minute when a corner from Mark Brown was met by the incoming Steven Campbell and his bullet of a header found the top corner of the Hawick net.

Both teams created good chances to increase the lead and level the game, but it was the Lily who took advantage when in the 27th minute a good move found Borthwick who fed a lovely defence splitting pass to Brown whose cut back across goal found the in rushing Rory McKinnon to put The Lily 2-0 up.
