A team of Midlothian car repair men have enlisted a local football legend to help them mastermind victory at a charity match this weekend.
The Belmont Group have engaged Hibernian favourite Pat Stanton to see if they can pull off a win while raising money for needy children.
The Belmont Warriors clash with The Forth 1 All-stars at Bonnyrigg Rose’s New Dundas Park on Sunday at 2pm.
Former Hibs and Bonnyrigg Rose star Pat Stanton will manage the Warriors, going toe to toe with Forth 1 presenter Mark Martin’s radio station select.
All money raised on the day will go directly to Forth 1’s Cash for Kids which helps disadvantaged children across Edinburgh, the Lothians and Fife.
Organiser Scott MacDonald is hoping the event can raise a significant amount of funds for the charity.
He said: “The Belmont Group is passionate in supporting local charity and Forth 1’s Cash for Kids is a very worthy cause. “It supports children and young people across the area in a whole range of areas in their life.”
