THE brand new East Region Junior Football league season gets under way on Saturday following the midweek conclusion of the League Cup qualifying groups.

Midlothian’s sole representative in the top ACA Sports East Super League – Bonnyrigg Rose – will be away this coming weekend to visit last season’s runners-up, Hill o’ Beath. The Rose will return to New Dundas Park for their first home Super League match of the season to welcome newly-promoted North League Cup semi-finalists Carnoustie Panmure.

In the ACA Sports East Premier League, relegated from last season’s Super League Newtongrange Star have the firm intention of chasing promotion back to the Super League in one season beginning this Saturday at New Victoria Park, where Dundee Downfield are the visitors.
