The 26-year-old missed Hibs’ 1-1 draw with Falkirk last weekend. He was originally called into the Israel squad for their World Cup qualifier with Albania which clashed with Hibs’ match, but was ultimately forced to withdraw from the national camp after picking up a knee injury in one of the their training sessions.

Marciano underwent a precautionary MRI scan on the joint to assess the damage, but it now appears that the stopper, who has kept seven clean sheets in 11 matches since joining on loan from FC Ashdod, will be able to take his place in goal when the Doonhamers visit Easter Road this weekend.

“Ofir has a bit of swelling on the knee but he’s moving well and he’s told me he should be okay,” Hibs head coach Neil Lennon revealed.

Ross Laidlaw, who deputised for Marciano against Falkirk, will drop to the bench for the meeting with Queens and Otso Virtanen, who played for Hibs’ Development Squad tonight away at St Johnstone, will be left out of the squad.
