Oli Shaw strikes late to grab Hibs U-20s victory

An 88th-minute goal from Oli Shaw gave Hibs Development Squad a 2-1 away win over St Johnstone.

A youthful-looking Hibs XI went behind on 15 minutes at Airdrie’s Excelsior Stadium when Joseph Johnston latched on to a through ball and slotted beyond Hibs keeper Otso Virtanen.

However, Hibs responded on 23 minutes when Jack Breen converted from close range after good work and a cross from Innes Murray.

The second-half was a close-fought affair and it appeared that the match was heading towards a draw until just minutes before the end, Shaw volleyed home after a fine delivery by Callum Donaldson. .
