Easthouses were the visitors to Home Park, Coldstream, for their third Premier League fixture and came away with a very convincingly 5-2 victory.
This gives the Midlothian outfit maximum points from all three games to sit proudly at the top of the league.
Easthouses kicked off this game in very blustery conditions and took control of the proceedings.
They went ahead in the 10th minute when good overlapping play by left full back Gordon Wilson played in a lovely cross to Mark Brown, who controlled it and fired it into the back of the net to get the first of his hat-trick.
The second goal came in the 38th minute and it will probably be goal of the season with every Easthouses player passing and moving the ball.
It resulted in Mark Brown firing in a ferocious shot high into the top corner of the net.
At this stage of the game it was going so well for the Lily lads, but a crazy last five minutes in the first half allowed Coldstream to get back into the game by scoring in the 42nd and 45th minutes to level the game at half time.
The second half started with the wind at the Easthouses lads’ backs and they didn’t waste much time in using it with Mark Brown getting his and Easthouses’ third of the game latching onto a through ball by McMillan and slotting it past the keeper.
Easthouses took control of the game at this stage and further increased their lead in the 62nd minute when Graham Young went on a solo run and fired a shot into the back of the net.
Another fine move by the Lily lads resulted in the miss of the match with good link up play by McDermott and Robertson, when the latter unbelievably screwed his shot wide of the post with the goal at his mercy.
But it wasn’t long till the game and the points where made secure when in the 73rd minute Paul McDermott got his well deserved goal firing past the Coldstream keeper from a very acute angle into the back of the net.
Another fine display and result from this vibrant bunch of Lily lads who now visit Spartans next Saturday in the league.
