Rafa De Vita hailed as Edinburgh City winger scoops Player of the Month prize
The Italian has made a big impact in a Citizens jersey since joining the club in October, his standout performance coming in a 3-1 victory over Stenhousemuir last month where he netted a terrific brace.
It marks a double triumph for the Capital outfit after Naysmith was awarded manager of the month last week.

Ahead of tomorrow night’s visit of bottom-of-the-table Brechin City, Naysmith said: "It’s great for the club that they are being recognised. My award is for the players but Rafa, as an individual, I’m delighted for him. He’s been great since I came in and what I love about Rafa is even though I haven’t played him every game, he’s never once kicked up a stink.
"He’s an experienced player who has come in from Livingston has bought into what I’m trying to do and every game he has been on the pitch he’s been an attacking threat. He’s a top lad and for somebody who has had the career he has, to be willing to come down to part-time and muck in and try and get us to where we want to go, it speaks a lot about him as an individual because a lot of players in their 30s would be saying ‘Listen I am better than the players here I should be playing every game’ and he’s not like that.
"So, he deserves his award as he is a top professional and a really good lad."

He said: "Brechin are fighting for their lives so they will come and have a go. We have to be wary of that but we are playing with a bit of confidence too."
