After a break which saw Celtic crowned Champions and Hearts relegated to the Championship, Scottish Premiership football is almost back.

The return could prove to be a spooky affair, with matches played out in front of empty grounds as the country continues to come to ease out of the coronavirus pandemic induced lockdown.

As a result, fans will be glued to their televisions most weekends, following their team’s highs and lows from a distance.

Where can I watch my team on TV this season?

Sky Sports hold broadcasting rights for the Scottish Premiership this season. Over the course of the season it will present live coverage of up to 48 games.

Coverage will be fronted by Eilidh Barbour, who will be joined by pundits Andy Walker, Kris Boyd, Darren Fletcher, James McFadden, Ally McCoist and John Hartson.

At 6pm every Saturday, all goals from across the league will be shown on Sky Sports News.

The first batch of Scottish premiership fixtures that will be hosted live on Sky Sports have been confirmed.

These are:

Sat Aug 1: Aberdeen vs Rangers - 12.30pm

Sun Aug 2: Celtic vs Hamilton - 4.30pm

Mon Aug 3: Ross County vs Motherwell - 7.45pm

Sat Aug 8: St Johnstone vs Aberdeen - 12.30pm

Sun Aug 9: Kilmarnock vs Celtic - 4.30pm

Tue Aug 11: Dundee Utd vs Hibernian - 6pm

Wed Aug 12: St Mirren vs Celtic - 6pm

Sat Aug 15: Hibernian vs Motherwell - 5.30pm

Sun Aug 16: Livingston vs Rangers - 4.30pm

Are clubs allowed to show home fixtures?

Season ticket holders of all clubs are able to watch their team’s home games.

Casual fans will be allowed to watch their side’s fixtures on a pay-per-view basis, so long as they are not being broadcast by Sky Sports.

Clubs are allowed to set their own prices.
