Whitehill Welfare 2, Edinburgh City 2
In their East of Scotland Qualifying League, Whitehill finished as winners of group C after a narrow victory at Meadowbank Stadium, where all the good work was done in the first half.
Whitehill could be reasonably happy with a goal-less half hour in which they had looked the more positive side without creating much in the way of chances.
After 31 minutes, Wayne McIntosh found space on the left and was able to deliver a perfect cross for the unmarked Aaron Somerville to finish with a powerful header.
Eight minutes later, Andrew Kidd supplied the pass which enabled Somerville to run on and round the keeper before slotting home from a narrow angle on the right.
