Whitehill Welfare travelled to Forthbank, Stirling, looking to get back to winning ways after last week’s Scottish Cup exit.
Whitehill had the best of the opening encounters and Marshall was forced to punch clear a Manson cross, which fell to Sommerville, but his 25 yard chip was just over the bar.
Soon after, McIntosh out muscled the Stirling defence and laid off a lovey pass to Dodds to slot home only for the referee to pull the match back for a free-kick to the home side.
However, Whitehill were not to be denied and on 36 minutes Manson beat two defenders out wide, the winger found Sommerville on the edge of the box who beat Marshall with a well-placed side footed shot.
