As THE nation bends, stretches and contorts itself into shape for the Sport Relief weekend, organisers are calling on all schools and early years groups in Scotland to get active on Friday, March 23, and help to raise some serious cash.
In 2010, the UK’s schools and early years groups collectively raised a staggering £4.3 million, and this year the aim is to raise even more.
To help teachers get started, they can sign up for a free School Fundraising Resource Pack bursting with fundraising ideas, posters, balloons, stickers, as well as interactive learning resources to help pupils understand where the money goes – just head to sportrelief.com/schoolstuff
There are loads of ways schools and early years groups can get involved in Sport Relief 2012, but the best way to be a part of it is to organise a Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile in your school on Friday, March 23.
