Golf: More upsets in the East

LONGNIDDRY and Tantallon are out in front at the top of Division 1 in the East Lothian Winter League after another weekend of upsets.

No fewer than six of the eight fixtures resulted in wins for the visiting side, but Longniddry bucked that trend with 5-0 home win over Gullane to take over top spot from their opponents.

In a match that saw all five ties going at least as far as the 17th, Graham Clarke and Kevin Girdler secured the whitewash with a last-green win.
