Murrayfield Racers receive major boost as club secures main sponsor for another two years

Murrayfield Racers have made another key re-signing after securing their headline sponsor for a further two years.

Edinburgh-based company IME DJK Group first linked up with the Racers last summer and proved to be a lucky charm as the team claimed the Stuart Robertson Cup and NIHL North Cup.

Racers’ director Willie Dunn says the extended deal with IME DJK Group – formed by the merger of two well-established property specialists in Scotland – is a major boost to the club’s ambitions.

“We are absolutely delighted to maintain our partnership with IME DJK for another two years,” he said.

“Having that consistency is really important to us and hopefully sends out a message to other businesses that we are an organisation worth working with.

“As part of the new arrangement, IME DJK will have two logos on the ice at Murrayfield Ice Rink, further increasing their exposure in Scotland.

“They have been a fantastic company to work with and our continued link-up will help us to keep ice hockey growing in Edinburgh.”

IME DJK Group director, Kristina Kerr, says the company is delighted to have been able to extend their deal with the Racers until 2022.

“Our first year was fantastic – we’ve benefited from the excellent exposure the Racers get in national and local press and online,” she said.

“We not only sponsored the Racers, we very much became part of the Racers family!

“We shouted, screamed and cried when they won the NIHL North Cup and were very proud to be part of such a historic victory.

“We’re looking forward to the upcoming season and hope the team can continue its winning ways.

“We have seen our business grow with our partnership with the Racers and found them easy to work with.

“We’ve committed for a further two years as a way of showing our confidence in the management of the Racers.”
