Loanhead’s football pitches are on the mend ahead of the new season thanks to pressure from local youth football clubs last winter.
Peter Frame, secretary of Loanhead Community Football Club, was among a group of concerned youth football representatives who met with council officials in January to highlight their concerns about the pitches in Loanhead being unplayable.
Now West End Park is taking games and Memorial Park is expected to be ready ahead of the new season. Burghlee and King George’s Park won’t be ready for the new season, but progress is being made.
