Lasswade AC athletes continued their fine form this season as they collected medals at recent international events in England and Wales.

At the Welsh Athletics International held at Cardiff International Stadium, Guy Learmonth and Robert Ferguson both won their events against tough opposition.

Guy won the International Men’s 800m in a time of 1:48.90, and also ran in the Scottish Senior Men’s 4 x 400m Relay team who finished 4th (3:12.27), with Robert taking first place in the U20 Men’s High Jump, with a winning jump of 1.94m.

The following Saturday, three athletes from the club were representing Scotland in the Schools’ International Athletic Board match at Ashford, Kent.  Against teams from England, Wales and an all Ireland select team, the club’s athletes performed really well.
