Lasswade knew this one was going to be tough. Musselburgh had cruised through their first five games collecting the try bonus every time to lead the Division.
However, Hawick ended their invincibility last week, raising hopes for a closer contest between the local rivals separated by just five points. It wasn’t to be so. Musselburgh bounced back to notch up seven tries and with O’Hagan in almost unerring form the half century was assured. However, visitors battled throughout, earning three tries and were tantalisingly close to the bonus try in the dying minutes
