On a sunny but cold afternoon, Lasswade played hosts to visitors East Kilbride.
After the Easter break, the home side only managed to field 16 players, so a bit of reshuffling was needed. Lasswade kicked off toward Rosewell, but after a few set moves the visitors broke through the Lasswade defence and scored the first try of the afternoon.
This didn’t upset the home side as they came right back, and after the opposition knocked on, Sam Greens broke through from the resultant scrum and scored under the posts. Martin Jones converted.
Shortly afterwards, Lasswade gained possession once more, and were unlucky not to score when fly half Harry Gladstone kicked the ball toward the right for Scott Muir, who grub-kicked the ball toward the line. But, before he could touch it down, the ball went into touch.
