The Midlothian boys travelled down to East Lothian to take on Haddington at Neilson Park.
Lasswade were panicking minutes before the kick off as only 15 players had turned up, due to the holiday week, and Haddington had a pack of at least 20.
Fortunately a 16th player turned up for the visitors just after the whistle to start the game. Lasswade had no second row so players had to slot in to unfamiliar rolls, with both Aaron Brennan and Jack Gilchrist stepping in and never looked out of place.
Haddington won the toss so they kicked off toward the clubhouse but within minutes Gilchrist broke through the Haddington defence. Sam Greens was on his shoulder and received a perfectly timed pass to run in for his first try.
