MIDLOTHIAN swimmer Sean Fraser deserves to be honoured for his sporting achievements, according to a community leader.
Pat Kenny, chairman of Loanhead and District Community Council, believes that Loanhead and Midlothian should recognise the 22-year-old, who competed at the Paralympic Games.
The bronze medal winner at the Beijing Paralympics didn’t manage to win a medal at his home event, but he contested four finals and was a member of two GB relay teams.
Mr Kenny said: “Sean’s certainly famous locally, and most people know him and have followed his progress with interest.
“We should all be proud of his achievements and year after year, he competes around the world, representing Scotland and Great Britain with great distinction.”
