Scottish Justice Secretary Kenny MacAskill was joined recently by some of the young footballers to benefit from Loanhead’s newest sporting facility.
The MSP was joined by Bill Stark, head coach of the Scotland U-21 football team, for the official opening of the refurbished Bayne Memorial Hall.
The hall – near Burghlee Crescent – attracted more than £320,000 in funding to transform the dark, damp and unsuitable space unto a multi-functional, modern and bright community sports facility.
The centre will be principally used by Loanhead Miners’ Youth Football Club.
