Midlothian drivers in good form at Racewall

There was a heavy hailstone shower before the start of the stock car meeting at the Cowdenbeath Racewall leaving the track wet and greasy.

All found the conditions tricky none more so than the stock rods who struggled to get off the racing line to overtake and quite a few cars ended up spinning. The prostox drivers were in good form and there was plenty of contact leaving a few cars in a battered condition.

Raymond Dick scored his first ever formula II win when he led the field home in heat two having led the race from start to finish.

The formula II drivers, including Ally Noble (Newtongrange), served up some close racing despite the conditions. Heat two saw Noble finish in eighth place.

The saloon drivers were in good form with the local drivers being Chris Carey (Loanhead), Gordon Alexander (Bonnyrigg), and Robin Copland (Gorebridge).

Kyle Irvine went on to win heat two leading home Alexander and Aaryn Triggs with Copland in fifth.
