The Midlothian over 50s Walking Football team took part in their first challenge match last weekend in Prestwick, against Caledonian.
Three 20 minute games were played between the sides with Midlothian losing all three, 2-4, 4-5 and 1-5.
Walking football player, Peter Collins (81), said: “I think it’s a wonderful thing for older men to get out there. Everybody likes to play football and once you get used to slowing up a wee bit it’s really terrific.”
