Gordon Moodie stole the headlines at Cowdenbeath Racewall on Saturday, when he won the formula II Scottish Championship in an exciting final.
There was a minute’s applause at the start to the meeting in remembrance of Steve Newman who tragically died at the British saloon Championship at Mildenhall. In the formula IIs, the only local driver was Craig Wallace (Tranent).
In the saloons, local drivers in action were Chris Carey (Loanhead), Gordon Alexander (Bonnyrigg) and Stuart Drobinski (Tranent). Stuart Fox was a welcome visitor in the stock rods where there was a lot of close and fast racing.
