Commonwealth Games gold medallist bowler Davie Peacock picked up his ninth Midlothian Indoor Bowling Club singles title recently.
Davie first won the title in 1987, but the Danderhall bowler hadn’t picked up the trophy for six years.
He told the
“That’s the ninth time I’ve won it but the first time for about six years.
“So it’s always good to get your name back on the board. It’s good to keep your name to the fore in Midlothian.
“There is good competition in Midlothian. It’s difficult to win. There is a couple of guys that play for Scotland.”
It was one of Davie’s Scotland teammates, Colin Walker, that he defeated 21-20 in a thrilling final in Dalkeith.
