Charity wins at Racewall

It turned out to be a very wet meeting at the Cowdenbeath Racewall at the start to the second half of the stock car season but despite that, it was an entertaining affair.

A cheque for £1070 was handed over to a representative from CHAS at Rachel House, this being the proceeds from the car show at the end of June. Local drivers included Chris Carey (Loanhead), Gordon Alexander (Bonnyrigg) and Stuart Drobinski (Tranent).

This Saturday, it’s the formula II Scottish Championship which will take pride of place, with Gordon Moodie defending although he will face stern opposition from Chris Burgoyne, George MacMillan Jnr and Robbie Dawson.

Also racing are the saloons as well as the bangers who are also having their Scottish Championship. The meeting starts at 6pm.
