The National Superstock 1000 Series moved onto Brands Hatch last weekend for the Championship finale and Dunderhall Motorcycle Ace Michael Robertson was hoping to finish the season on a high.
With track sections called Hawthorns, Surtees, Cooper Straight and Sheene Curve, up to 30,000 spectators flock to witness close and exciting racing and this final round was widely tipped as being no exception.
The majority of riders opted for the same tactic but none were able to improve their lap times from the previous day so Michael would start the race from 18th on the grid.
Michael made a good start and entering the first corner he was holding his position as all 40 competitors dropped down Paddock Hill and up to the tricky right hand corner at Druids where many incidents occur especially on the first lap.
Predictably three riders crashed in front of Michael forcing him to take avoiding action and unfortunately he dropped to 26th place. For the remaining 14 laps Michael steadily moved back up the field to cross the line in 18th position.
