Hockey: Dalkeith High School hosts festival

The second high school hockey festival of the season was held at Dalkeith HS Campus recently.

The festival was moved indoors due to the inclement weather, but a good turnout of high school teams still made for a competitive event.

Penicuik HS once again demonstrated their current dominance at high school hockey, with all their teams performing well, although the Penicuik 3s were just pipped to 3rd place, by a re-emergent Beeslack team, thanks to their 1-0 win in the vital head-to-head game.

Dalkeith were unable to build on their good start to the season at the 1st festival, perhaps due to the pressure of the home crowd(!), but will surely come good again as the season progresses.

Thanks as always to the host school, Dalkeith, and particularly to Stacey Wilson, Gayle Buchan and Louise Corr for organising such an excellent event. The next festival will take place on Wed 5th Dec, at Penicuik HS – from 4:30pm to 6pm.
