After losing their first two league fixtures, Falkirk have won everything since and staked a credible claim on one of the promotion spots. Lasswade were unlikely, therefore, to end their losing streak at Camelon and in fact ended up on the receiving end of one of their biggest defeats in several seasons.
Falkirk opened their scoring with two penalties but then three converted tries and another penalty put them 30-0 ahead by half-time.
Their domination continued into the second period with a further four tries being interrupted on just one occasion by an individual try constructed by Dougie Hearn to give the visitors some consolation from their visit.
Final score Falkirk 59 Lasswade 7.
Lasswade have slipped now to tenth in the table and need to start finding some wins somewhere. They will discover how deep their problems are, or are not, when they host 11th placed Kirkcaldy who have just one win from eight games but have also earned four try bonuses and one losers bonus so they will be no pushover. Kick-off 2pm.
