Midlothian Cycling Club has been set up by cycling enthusiasts catering for children through to adults. The club covers all cycling disciplines including mountain biking, road racing, Enduro, triathlon/duathlon/ironman and cyclocross.

Club membership has went through the roof since starting six months ago, with 120 Facebook members and growing steadily.

The club has been extremely lucky to have partnered with local businesses to support its development, www.singletrackbikes.co.uk, SR Plumbing and Heating, Halston Technical, SPL Interior Trades, Pentland Tech and David Steele painters and decorators are proud to be part of this clubs development and can see the value in developing cycling from grass routes level in Midlothian.

Martin Graham, co-founder of the club and former Scottish Team rider, has raced bikes all over Europe, he has won national championships and recently won the Bowhill winter duathlon series, a great start for the club’s trophy cabinet. Another early success this year, member Colin May won the Scottish Cyclocross.

The club members will be taking part in lots of events this year and are keen for more members to come along and be part of the club.

The club has regular Sunday road rides, Tuesday mountain bike nights and Thursday kids night. With almost 25 children the potential to develop future talent is very promising.
