There were plenty of shunts at Cowdenbeath Racewall on Saturday night, with the cars of James Letford and Gordon Brown both rolling in separate incidents.
John Armour received a lot of damage in the Letford shunt, while Paul Reid had his car wrecked as he tried to exit the pit bend. Jimmy Wallace was back in action with his formula II but crashed heavily, and when John Hogg blew an engine, four other cars crashed into the wall as they hit the oil slick. Stephen Forster crashed three times, breaking a half shaft on each occasion. Alex Sharp and John Sibbald made their lightning rod debuts, while in the saloons, Chris Lattka retired with what looked like a blown engine.
